Under the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) an initiative of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, supported by the Asian Development Bank. Enroute was engaged by BACCO as an approved partner training provider to deliver occupational skills training in the IT and IT-enabled services sector in Dhaka. The programme aimed to bridge the gap between prospective workers’ skills and the practical competencies required by employers in Bangladesh’s expanding BPO, call-centre, and digital-services industries.
Enroute delivered two occupational training courses: Professional Back Office Services, covering approximately 220 training hours over two and a half months, and Professional Digital Content Management, covering approximately 160 hours over two months. The programme was structured across six batches of approximately 25 participants each, targeting 150 trainees in total. Four batches for Professional Back Office Services and two for Professional Digital Content Management.
Training delivery combined classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, and hands-on computer-based exercises, supported by a fully equipped ICT laboratory. Qualified trainers were assigned who delivered competency-based instruction in line with SEIP curricula and competency standards. Trainee mobilization and selection followed SEIP and BACCO guidelines, with outreach conducted through print, electronic, and community-based channels. Attendance, assessment, and course-completion records were maintained in the programme’s Training Management System throughout. Continuous assessment, formal evaluation, and certification support were provided to all participants, alongside employment linkage support to connect successful graduates with opportunities in the BPO, call-centre, and IT-enabled services industry.
