Under Leonard Cheshire’s Innovation to Inclusion (i2i) Project, Enroute developed an interactive e-learning package on disability inclusion and awareness for private-sector employers and recruiters in Bangladesh and Kenya. The assignment responded to limited employer understanding of disability-inclusive workplace practices, aiming to strengthen capacity to recruit, support, and retain persons with disabilities through accessible and practical digital learning resources.
The e-learning package was structured across two levels and three modules. The first level provided general disability inclusion and awareness training; the second included additional content for senior managers and decision-makers on organizational responsibilities and policy integration. The three modules covered: disability inclusion and the business case for employing persons with disabilities; international and national legislation, reasonable accommodation, and disability-inclusive employment frameworks; and practical guidance on inclusive recruitment, accessible communication, workplace adjustments, and reasonable accommodation.
Enroute mobilized specialists in e-learning, instructional design, disability inclusion, multimedia, and translation to develop accessible courses in Bangla for Bangladesh and English for Kenya. The work covered content review, module design, scripts, storyboards, assessments, videos, animations, infographics, narration, and interactive materials. All content followed WCAG 2.1 AA standards, was tested across devices and SCORM-compatible LMS platforms, and finalized based on Leonard Cheshire
